After sitting out the first 21 games of the season with a high ankle sprain, Jack Eichel was back in the Buffalo Sabres lineup last night and his impact was almost immediate.  Eichel scored a power play goal and assisted on another in the Sabres 5-4 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Eichel set up Kyle Okposo on the Sabres first power play opportunity of the night on just his third shift of the season, then scored a power play goal himself on his fourth shift of the game.  In less than 10 minutes the Sabres were up 2-0.  From there it was a battle as the teams traded goals but the Sabres held on for their second straight win of the season in Ottawa.

Ryan O'Reilly scored a pair of goals and had an assist.  Sam Reinhart also scored a goal and defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen finsished with a pair of assists.

Goaltender Robin Lehner left the game late in the first period with a hip injury and was replaced by Anders Nilsson.  Lehner's injury was described as day to day.

The Sabres are back home for a pair of games; Thursday against the New York Rangers and Saturday afternoon against the Los Angeles Kings.
