
Recall On Massively Popular Drink In New York State
There is a recall that has been announced for a popular energy drink in New York State for incorrect labeling.
The summer has been hot! In many places across New York State, we have seen the temperatures in the afternoon reach well into the 90s and the heat index near 100 degrees or above! You might be reaching for your favorite drink to cool off. Be aware of the recall on Celsius beverages.
High Noon is warning that the labels were accidentally placed on some cans.
Read More: Urban Flooding For These New York State Areas.Some are a calling this a "boozey mixup". NBC reports that: "The canned cocktail maker High Noon is warning customers that some of its vodka seltzers were accidentally labeled as Celsius energy drinks".
In the official post and recall notice from the FDA, it was mentioned that: "High Noon is recalling two production lots of High Noon Beach Variety packs (12-pack/12 fluid ounce cans). Some of these packs contain cans that are filled with High Noon vodka seltzer alcohol and are mislabeled as CELSIUS® ASTRO VIBE™ Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, with a silver top. Consumption of the liquid in these cans will result in unintentional alcohol ingestion".
No one appears to have gotten sick from the drinks at this point. The cans were shipped as of July 21.
