Doctors Explain Why Vaccine Isn’t Linked To Hamlin’s Cardiac Arrest
Is the COVID-19 vaccine linked to the cardiac arrest of Buffalo Bills' Damar Hamlin? The Buffalo Bills' safety was injured during the Buffalo Bills-Cinncinati Monday Night Football game on Monday, January 2.
A lot of speculation on social media regarding the injury and the COVID-19 vaccine had been raised this week.
Could it (the vaccine) be a rare cause of a rare event? Sure. It could but probabilistically that's just less likely".
Hamlin's agent told USA TODAY there is no known link between the COVID-19 vaccine and the athlete's injury, calling the baseless claim "ridiculous." Multiple medical experts also said it is unlikely the vaccine caused Hamlin's cardiac arrest, given the long history of cardiac issues in other athletes predating the COVID-19 vaccines", accorrding to Yahoo Sports.
Damar Hamlin has since been placed on IR by the Buffalo Bills and is now recovering at home in Western New York. The Bills will host Miami this coming Sunday in Orchard Park.
There are reasonably-prices tickets available for the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins AFC Wild Card playoff round on Sunday. The game will be at 1 PM in Orchard Park and, at the time of posting, tickets on both Ticketmaster and the secondary market are less than 120 bucks.
EXTRA: The Buffalo Bills will participate in a big softball game coming up in Buffalo, New York this May! The 3rd Annual Micah Hyde Charity Softball Game will raise money for charity. Typically, the Bills will play against each other: offense vs. defense. Tickets are now on sale for this event.
