Eric Church is one of country music's stars and has been for a while now. Once upon a time though, he was a brand new artist. It's been 13 years since Eric's debut single was at country radio, "How 'Bout You."

Released in February of 2006, it would go on to peak at #12 on the Mediabase country chart and #14 on Billboard that July.

"How 'Bout You" was a perfect introduction to the kind of artist Eric would be. A song that you can relate to; its lyrics are specific and in your face.

Written by Eric with his brother Brandon and Brett Beavers, "How 'Bout You" was the lead single off Church's debut album, Sinners Like Me.

Believe it or not, Eric's first top 10 radio single wouldn't come until "Love Your Love the Most" (#10) in 2009 and his first #1 wouldn't be until "Drink In My Hand" in 2011.

Even though he's had bigger hits than "How 'Bout You", I've always loved the sound of this song, with the banjo and electric guitars.

I remember this one being out when the Sabres had that long playoff run in 2006. Although, the ending to that season was heartbreaking, so let's not dig too deep into details...
