Dumbest Teen Crook Ever?

A 16 year old boy in Arlington Heights, Illinois was arrested for burglarizing a house.  But there's more...he's also being charged with cruelty to animals.

The cruelty to animals charge comes from him allegedly killing 3 goldfish in a bowl.  That's right, he told police they dumped hot sauce, mustard, ketchup and spices into the fish tank..  According to police he had some help from a 15 year old accomplice who helped him to pry open a door to steal a video game system, a CD player, 30 video games, 30 DVDs, a BB gun, jewelry and a safe.

So why in the world did they kill the fish?  They told police that they didn't want to leave any witnesses.
