Elderly Couple Die Holding Hands [Video]

Everyone wants to find the person that they're going to be with for the rest of their lives.  Most people however don't plan on leaving the earth at the same time as their partner.  If you have to die, this might be the perfect way to go.

Gordon and Norma Yeager were married the day that she graduated from high school in 1939 and stayed married to each other for 72 years after that. 

The marriage finally ended when the Yeagers were involved in a car accident that landed them in the hospital.  The hospital staff knew better than to separate the two who seemed to be together all of their lives.

'They chose each other and once they had committed, that was it.' -- Dennis Yeager (the youngest son)

Gordon passed away at 3:38pm the afternoon after the accident while still holding hands with his wife.  However the heart monitor continued to beep on for awhile even though he had stopped breathing.  As it turns out, it was picking up Norma's heartbeat because they were still holding hands.  She then passed away exactly one hour later at 4:48pm.
