Eric Church Writes Forward For New Book

Eric Church is a well-known songwriter and now he has taken his writing talents to the world of Books.

Church wrote the forward to the new book "The DeVine Devils" which was written by one of his songwriting friends Jeremy Spillman.

Spillman and Church wrote several songs together including the title track to Church's 2006 album "Sinners Like Me"

CMT.com posted a portion of the forward:

“Writing songs with someone is a creatively intimate process. You get to know someone at an inspirationally cellular level — what their fears are, their hopes, shortcomings, failures, triumphs, and dreams. The most important thing you get a glimpse at, though, is a person’s imaginative soul,”

“I’ve written amazing songs with Jeremy Spillman — some you’ve heard, some you haven’t — but all were equally unique and special in their own way,” he added. “That’s just the kind of writer Jeremy is.”
