The official 2021 NFL schedule came out last night and it was appointment-viewing television for football fans across America.

Both ESPN and the NFL Network spent multiple hours going through each team's NFL schedule and highlighting key matchups for the upcoming season.

Here in Western New York, we were waiting to hear about the Buffalo Bills schedule and what analysts would say about it; what games were the most important, any advantages or disadvantages, and so on.

ESPN anchor Steve Levy, who is also the voice of Monday Night Football, hosted the schedule release show and when the Bills schedule came up as a topic, Levy sent a shoutout to Western New York by name-dropping a few suburbs to the country.

One of them caught my attention, however. Levy mentioned Marilla, NY. Yes, THAT Marilla. As soon as I heard it, I glanced up from my phone. Levy liked my tweet, too, so that's cool he's as stoked about it as I am!

I know he mentioned a couple of other Buffalo suburbs, but Marilla is such a cool one. It's a deep-cut and only those who have spent time here know about the awesome folks of Marilla and the great businesses, such as the Marilla Country Store on Two Rod Road.

This isn't the first time that Levy has name-dropped something from Buffalo on national TV though. Last year, during an XFL football broadcast, Levy said, "Cheektavegas," in reference to the nickname of Cheektowaga.

Levy and the ESPN crew will be in Orchard Park in early December when the Bills host the New England Patriots. It's one of four prime time games for the Bills in 2021, but the only home prime time game.
