I don't blame the independent contractors, who do this at their home demading more money. There are certain people that scrub Facebook so that if someone posts something distrubing, you don't see it--including reviewing disturbing content dealing with torture, bestiality, suicide and murder.

As part of Monday's announcement, Facebook said it would allow moderators to "temporarily blur graphic images by default before reviewing them." It will also require its vendors to provide on-site counseling "during all hours of operations, not just certain hours of each shift."

The folks who scrub the site and do not work for Facebook make just shy of $50,000 but some say it is not worth any money for what they have to look at.
