New Year’s Eve is on Monday can you believe it!  2012 is almost over and 2013 is about to begin!

For me, the night is always celebrated the same way each year.  We go out to dinner then head out for drinks with some friends then head home and to bed shortly after watching the ball drop.   When I was younger I could stay out till the bars shut down at 4am now I’m barely able to keep my eyes open at 1am!  This year I’m up for something different!  If you’re like me and what to break out of the same old routine I’ve found a few events that you might want to try out.

Of course you can always head out to First Night Buffalo.  This one is definitely great if you have children that are old enough to stay up to ring in the new year!   This event happens at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.  The party there kicks off at 5pm and runs till 10pm.  You’ll get to join in the festivities they have set up at the Convention Center for you.  It’ll be a family friendly event and definitely a safe way to ring in the New Year.  They have so much planned for the night including Bubble Mania which is a uniqe program combining high energy entertainment with artistic achievement.  That show is suppose to be loaded with visual comedy, big band swing music, and more!  Sounds great!  Then stick around for another show called the Red Trouser Show,  This one is a never before seen combination of precision acrobats with high skill knife and fire juggling.  I’m thinking this one will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time!  That’s just the beginning of shows they have going on during this event.  There will even be amusement park rides like musical swings, the octopus, or you can climb the rock wall.  Spend your New Year’s Eve Night this year at First Night Buffalo at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

Another great event for your New Year’s Eve is happening in North Tonawanda.  Spend the evening at their New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.  The activities for this event will kick off at 6pm and run till 1am.  This one is also very kid friendly!  There will be 2 kid fun zones for the kids to run around in.  Along with that they will have live music outside!  Ok I know what you’re thinking it’s Buffalo we just go tons of snow dropped on us and you want me to stand outside listening to live music.  Don’t worry it’s all under the heated tent!  There is even a scavenger hunt and a 21 and over pub crawl that night.  Stick around too for the ball drop because they plan on having fireworks at midnight to ring in the new year!  Along with that there is free parking!  What a great way to ring in the new year then at the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in North Tonawanda.  This event is happening on Webster Street starting at 6pm
