Teachers, here is a great way to explain to your students about where our food comes from and how it gets to the diner table!

I have been helping and volunteering with the agriculture events at the Erie County Fair since 1995. I have definitely noticed a slight decline in the amount of interested and knowledge that younger kids who visit the fair have in how our farms operate. I think many kids don't understand where our food comes from.

It's simple really. No farms, no food!

If you are an educator, you are invited to attend a unique event at The Fairgrounds in Hamburg on March 1st.

According to the post on Facebook: The day will offer 4 workshop sessions with experienced and fun instructors sharing lessons that can be brought back to your classroom or program. Enjoy the day learning and networking with other programs and districts. Breakfast refreshments and Lunch will be provided.

Registration Deadline: February 18, 2019
Registration fee: $50

Erie County Agricultural Society in cooperation Seeds of Living Education Organization want to grow Farm to School education for kids.  This day is a perfect fit for Elementary through Middle School Educators, Community Garden Leaders and anyone working in Youth Development.
