
GRILL ALERT: This Meat Recalled In New York State
As we get to the second half of July, thousands of families in New York State will be grilling this weekend. Before you get the meat ready for the grill, there is a new recall alert.
It seems that we are getting more and more recalls than ever. From kids toys, to food, producers and manufacturers are being very cautious with their products and very transparent about any potential dangers.
When food is recalled, it is best to heed any warnings and either return or toss the food that is suspicious.

According to multiple reports, Hannaford Supermarkets has announced a recall of it's private brand of breaded chicken cutlets. The cutlets were sold between January 24th and July 17th and might be missing the milk allergen specification on its label.
As far as grilling meat, there are specifics that you need to know about the meat you intend to eat/grill. The USDA is a very helpful resource when it comes to making sure the food you are buying and cooking is safe for your family.
For example, pork. The USDA posted a chart that will help you at your next barbecue.
"Over the past few years, there have been foodborne illness outbreaks associated with pig roasts in several states. From purchase to presentation, every step matters in ensuring a safe and enjoyable feast".
