Massive Country Music Star Shocks New York State Listeners

One of the biggest stars in all of music shocked listeners in portions of New York State this week when a surprise call was made from an airport!

It was both a surprise, and absolute pleasure, to get a call from Wynonna Judd as she waited to board a flight at the Buffalo Airport!

Wynonna was spotted in Western New York this past weekend and apparently spent a few days in Niagara County as well.

From what's new with her career, to National Anthem performances and everything in between, Wynonna was gracious with her time and had us laughing!

On Tuesday, Rob Banks and I were chatting on the air about Wynonna being in Buffalo and her connections to the area. Wynonna has some friends and family here and was paying a visit. Fast forward to 10 am and we received a voicemail from Wynonna offering to chat! How could we pass that up? She left her phone number and we connected with her as she was waiting for the call to board.

Wynonna has performed here in the Western New York area numerous times and some of the best shows were with her mom, Naomi Judd, when they gave us legendary shows at Melody Fair!

Thank you to Wynonna for being so open and sharing personal feelings and stories with us. This conversation was another reminder that country artists are so down to earth and "approachable" and generous. Can't wait to hear what Wynonna has next for the fans!!!
