ESPN reacted quickly to controversial comments made by Hank Williams, Jr. Monday morning when he compared President Obama to Hitler.  He was being interviewed on "Fox and Friends" when he first criticized the Republican candidates for president then said House majority leader John Boehner's golf game with President Obama was a "huge mistake".

Williams said "Come on, come on, that would be like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu.  In the shape this country is in?"

When he was asked to elaborate, Williams said, "They're the enemy... Obama! And Biden! Are you kidding?  The Three Stooges."  There was no indication of who the third stooge might be.

On Tuesday morning Hank had a statement on his website Hank Williams, Jr.com

ESPN said although Williams is not an employee of the company, he's closely linked through his "Monday Night Football" opening segment.   ESPN said it's extremely disappointed in his remarks and have decided to pull the open from tonight's (Monday night's) telecast.

Watching the video, it almost appears he was bothered to be up in the morning or trying to be funny.  Check it out -
