Fast food was a popular take-out option during time spent in quarantine in 2020, and according to new data, New Yorkers preferred their burgers square, with Wendy's taking the Empire State's top spot.

The market research company Top Data looked at fast food numbers year to year, and compared fluctuations between June 2019 to June 2020.

Given that everyone's car was their safe place, it's not surprising to see Sonic make the list in many states, making it the top quarantine fast food choice nationwide.

The Daily Meal reports McDonalds, Chick Fil A, and Taco Bell among the other most popular choices.
