Erie County has a list of positions that they are looking to fill.

What Jobs Are Available?

I was taking a look at the Erie County website and there is a variety of jobs to fill. Some of these positions have a salary around $158,000! The senior nurse practitioner position mentions that there are some basic requirements and some that are more specific.

A.) Possession of a Master's degree* in Nursing, including or supplemented by successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program approved by the New York State Education Department; or:

B.) Possession of a Bachelor's degree* in Nursing supplemented by successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program approved by the New York State Education Department and two (2) years of experience in certified specialty area.

How Can I Apply?

It seems like now is the best time to get started if you are interested. The website is actually very helpful. There are some that might require a civil service exam or have a deadline for the application.
