What are the chances of getting video of a traffic light being blown down?  That's exactly what happened on Sunday when a motorist had a dash cam going as he approached the intersection of Main Street and Youngs Road in Williamsville.

It happened during Sunday's near hurricane-force wind storm where winds were clocked at 70 mph at the Buffalo airport and at 74 mph in Niagara Falls.

To give you an idea, a traffic signal can be as tall as 7-feet high and weigh up to 220 pounds.  Although some signals are attached to outstretched poles, most signals in this area are attached to free hanging cables that blow wildly on a windy day.  You obviously don't want to be near one if it falls down.
