We're just two days away from the Buffalo Bills 2021 regular-season home opener. The Bills host the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday at 1 pm at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park and will also mark the first time since the end of the 2019 regular season that the Bills will play a home game to a full stadium.

There are players nursing injuries going into the opener, including starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, who is dealing with a calf injury that has caused him to miss practice this week.

According to Bills head coach Sean McDermott in an interview with WGR radio, Lotulelei will miss Sunday's game against the Steelers.

McDermott also said that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders will be questionable for the game with a foot injury.

Lotulelei missed all of 2020 after opting out of the season due to the pandemic. It was evident how much that Star's presence was missed on the defensive line last year, especially early in the season against the run.

The Steelers now have running back Najee Harris, who was their first-round pick in 2021 and figures to play a major role in their offense this season. Missing Lotulelei will be a major blow for the Bills since he helps free up space for the linebackers and edge rushers.

A reminder that if you're going to the game on Sunday to get to the gates early (at least an hour before kickoff), due to short staff at Highmark Stadium and the first home game is always the longest wait to get into the stadium anyway.
