Bills Wide Receiver Addresses Negative Comments About His Play: “I Just Don’t Care”
Bills' wide receiver Keon Coleman spoke to the media today for the first time since the offseason began, and he didn't tiptoe around any of the statements that have been made about him.
It has been a brutal offseason for Keon Coleman, but it appears as though it's lit a fire in him.
The Offseason started with some comments from the team's owner Terry Pegula
During a press conference explaining why he decided to relieve coach Sean McDermott of his duties as head coach, it appeared as though Bills owner Terry Pegula felt the need to defend his general manager. He interrupted General Manager Brandon Beane as he was about to answer a question about who was responsible for picking Keon Coleman in the draft. Pegula claimed that Beane wasn't going to choose Coleman but did after pressure from the coaching staff.
"I'm not saying Brandon wouldn't have drafted him, but he wasn't his next choice. That was Brandon [Beane] being a team player and taking advice of his coaching staff." - Terry Pegula
It was at that moment that people started to wonder what was going on with the Bills. Was there more chaos behind the scenes that we hadn't seen? Was Keon a bad pick? How did Keon feel about that statement.
Keon Coleman addressed the comments for the first time
Today after OTAs, Keon spoke with reporters and didn't shy away from the questions about the comments from Pegula or his output on the team last year.

"My job is to put my cleats on, strap them up and prove my work ethic." - Keon Coleman
It really does feel like he's got a chip on his shoulder and he's motivated to prove people wrong. We're all hoping that he can do it.
