Is This Game At A WNY Festival Animal Cruelty? [VIDEO]

This past weekend was crazy with festivals -- the Italian Festival, Eden Corn Fest, Taste of Williamsville, Attica Rodeo, Langford Jamboree and so many more across Western New York. I attended most and came across this at one of the festivals this weekend.

It's called the Rat Wheel or basically Rat Wheel of Fortune, and you bet 50 cents on a color, and if the rat runs into the hole that lines up with the corresponding color, you win. At first I thought it was hilarious, but then I thought how awful for this rat. I know, I know -- it's a rat, but imagine it doing this every 30 second for nights at a time.

I spoke to the game attendant, and she said that she raises the rat from birth and that it is her "baby". You'd assume if she thinks that, this is OK with the rat. But, is this animal cruelty, or is this OK? What do you think?
