The Buffalo Bills have already had a busy offseason with massive changes to the coaching staff, and soon there will be changes to the roster as well.

Even with a major change to their coaching staff with the firing of Sean McDermott and hiring of Joe Brady, the Buffalo Bills are still considered one of the favorites to win the AFC next season.

That run to Super Bowl 61 will official beging very soon for the Buffalo Bills and the rest of the NFL.

Key Dates In The NFL Offseason

Here are some dates that will be important to Bills Mafia as the Bills get ready for next season.

  • Feb 17 – March 3: Franchise or Transition Player designation period.
  • Feb 23 – March 2: NFL Scouting Combine
  • March 11: 2026 League Year and Free Agency begin at 4 pm. 
  • March 29 – April 1: Annual League Meeting.
  • April 6: Offseason workout programs begin for new head coaches. The Bills will be able to start on the 6th, since Joe Brady is the new head coach. 
  • April 23 – 25: 2026 NFL Draft. The Bills have the 26th overall pick in the 1st round. 
  • May 1: Deadline to exercise fifth-year options for 2023 draft picks.
  • July 15: Deadline for Franchise Players to sign multiyear extensions.
  • Late July: Training camps open. The Buffalo will once again hold training camp at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York.

The NFL season will officially kick off on Thursday Septemeber 10th, 2026, with week 1 action. The Seattle Seahawks, the current Super Bowl champs, will open the season at home vs a soon to be announcd oppoent on Thursday Night Football.
