Jack Eichel Buys 5,000 PPE Masks and Donates Them To WNY Hospitals
Local athletes have stepped up in a big way for Western New York during the COVID-19 pandemic and Jack Eichel just made an incredible donation to local hospitals.
According to WIVB, Sabres captain Jack Eichel purchased 5,000 PPE Masks from Bauer, who makes hockey equipment.
The masks will be distributed to local hospitals to help medical staff during the coronavirus crisis.
“The dedication to Western New York that they continue to show is incredible. I am happy to work with my friends at Bauer to purchase these masks. Hopefully, they will help play a part in keeping our hospital workers safer and healthier,” Eichel said.
The pandemic is starting to really ramp up in Western New York, so these masks will be so valuable to the essential employees that are helping to serve and protect us during this difficult time.
Way to go, Jack!
