The announcement reads:

"A final goodbye from the Attea family and Jam in the Valley

On August 17th, 2019 we announced that Jam in the Valley would not continue in 2020. That is still the case. The Attea family has given its collective heart, soul, health and well being to this event. While there were many successes over its 26 years, there were many setbacks too.

After the 2019 event, we realized that we could no longer support this event as it was truly affecting the ability to support ourselves, due to mounting losses, rising expenses, more competition and the difficulty of being an independent “one off” festival. It wasn’t easy to put this event on, but at the same time, it hasn’t been easy to let this event go.

We have so many people to thank but we can hardly list them all… it would be a long read. But there were so many from our local government at Wyoming County, Towns of Sheldon and Village of Varysburg, who made every effort to assure that you Jammers had a safe event to attend.

So many vendors, from port o potty contractors to light tower and generator rental companies… our Sponsors who made huge efforts to support our event… there are just so, so many. Thank you to all.

Truth be told, we probably should have stopped Jam in the Valley 5 years earlier, but it was difficult to give up on something that we had worked so long to create… to disappoint the thousands of you that looked forward to attending each year… and especially difficult to know that 2019 would be the last year that Jam in the Valley created a life long memory for many of you.

While the Attea’s are stepping away from all things related to putting on a show at Buffalo Hill Village, many have approached us about continuing the tradition somewhere else. We have no desire to put this show on at another location… Buffalo Hill is our home and we will continue to try to make it thrive as a campground and manufactured housing community, and the Jam in the Valley name will retire with us.

All is not lost however. Our good friends at The Woods at Bear Creek in Franklinville NY, will be taking over all Jam in the Valley social media and contact lists in an effort to start a new tradition… Jam in the Woods.

Maybe us Attea’s won’t be involved any longer, but why not let someone else try if they so choose. We wish them much success.

As we say goodbye to you, we also say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for 26 fun filled years. Now, we ask that you please say hello to Jam in the Woods!

Let your new traditions begin."
