It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero is Air Force Master Sergeant Joseph Argona!

Master Sergeant Joseph Argon joined the Air Force in 1985 and served in the 107th Air Force National Guard for 27 years.  He Started his career as a crew chief on an F4 Phantom, then worked with an F16 aircraft.  Finally he finished up with a KC 135 air refueler.

Throughout his military career, Argona served in Operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Northern Watch, Joint Forge, Iraqi Freedom, Eduring Freedom and New Dawn.

He and his wife Heidi have been married 27 years and have two daughters.

This week, we want to thank Master Sergeant Joseph Argon and his family for their years of sacrifice in service to our country.  We are proud to call him this week’s Hometown Hero!
