Expect to See Josh Allen At This Year’s Oscars
The Oscars are coming up on March 15, 2026 this year and Conan O'Brien is set to host the event in LA.
The nominations were announced this year and it was a big morning for Hailee Steinfeld's movie named the Sinners that she is in with Michael B. Jordan. The movie was nominated for the biggest award of the evening, Motion Picture of the Year.
Sinners not only was a hit, but it is the most nominated movie at the Oscars of all time. The movie was given 16 nominations this morning, a monumental achievement that will certainly have the entire cast there. Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Mary, should certainly be there and there are no football commitments in March for the NFL (there could have been possibly some Super Bowl celebrations, but of course that is out--not that they would have necessarily been that late anyway.
The previous record was 14 nominations for a movie by the hit movies All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land.
The Oscars this year are March 15, 2026.
Josh Allen by the way, while the Oscar nominations were ironically being read, was announced to be a finalist for the NFL Most Valuable Player Award. This year, the NFL Honors will be on February 5th ahead of the Super Bowl, but Allen is one of the long shots for the award. This year, the Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is the frontrunner for the award. 2026 is the third year in a row that Josh Allen has been nominated for the big award, although he did not even go the first year that he was nominated.
Of course, there is a lot of drama in Western New York as the Buffalo Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott and a press conference with owner Terry Pegula and General Manager Brandon Beane did not help the matter in terms of winning the fan base over. They are currently in the middle of their search for the next head coach.
