The Buffalo Bills went into week 3, looking to do what they wanted to do in week 1 -- win in Orchard Park in front of a packed Highmark Stadium.

Things went pretty much according to plan, other than a couple of hiccups.

The Bills blew out The Washington Football Team, 43-21, in a game that featured plenty of scoring from the Bills offense, along with takeovers.

The player of the day was without a doubt, Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen went 32 of 43, for 358 yards and 5 total touchdowns (4 of them through the air).

Two of those Allen touchdown passes went to first-year Bills wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders. Both touchdowns features great throws and catches.

Tight end Dawson Knox also caught a touchdown pass, which was a beautiful extension by Knox in the end zone. Running back Zack Moss also caught a touchdown pass from Allen. Allen would add a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Bills went 8 of 12 on third down conversions in the first three quarters, which is a huge reason why the offense scored as many points as they did.

Wide receiver Cole Beasley said that the offense today was more like they expect to play.

"Today felt a lot like what we expect and want to be," said Bealsey.

The defense allowed a 73-yard touchdown pass to Washington running back, Antonio Gibson, which was a well-designed screen pass on a Bills blitz call.

The second Washington touchdown was by far the strangest play of the afternoon.

Bills wide receiver and kick returner, Isaiah McKenzie decided to to play a short kickoff, which then proceeded to bounce straight backwards and into the arms of kicker Dustin Hopkins. It was one of the weirdest kickoffs I have ever seen in my life.

The Bills defense clamped down in the second half. They intercepted Taylor Heinicke twice and would have been three, but an interception was called back late in the first half.

After the win, Allen broke the news to the media that offensive coordinator Brian Daboll lost his grandmother this week and the team rallied around him.

Allen said that Daboll fell into his arms after the game and the team's win was for him.

The Bills next play the Houston Texans at Highmark Stadium next Sunday. Kickoff is at 1 pm.
