New Buffalo Bill Has Jersey Retired At Special Ceremony
Having a jersey retired and lifted into the rafters is something that many athletes dream of. This week, it happened for one of the newest Buffalo Bills.
Congratulations to Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman, who was invited back to his old stomping grounds this week to attend a special jersey retirement ceremony. It was a moment that he described as "surreal."
Coleman began to win people over in Buffalo almost immediately with some outrageous press conferences where he told people that he bought his bright yellow coat on sale at Macy's and asked if he could get some cookies from the media table.
But long before catching passes for the Bills, he wore #3 while shooting hoops at Opelousas Catholic High School. He was good, too. He averaged 33 points per game there. To cement his legacy at that school, they retired his #3 jersey.
Coleman continued his basketball career into his college days by playing both Division 1 basketball and football at Michigan State University before transferring to Florida State.
However, Bills fans will be excited to hear that he still has his eyes on the prize. When asked what was next for Keon at the ceremony, he immediately said that he wanted to win a Super Bowl. He would like to go to the Pro Bowl and be named to the All-Pro Team. But then he reiterated that it's Super Bowl first. He likes to win and he wants to do everything possible to continue winning.
That's exactly what Bills fans want too. Just win, baby.
