NASCAR's Sprint Cup Championship came down to four drivers and one race.  At one point at Miami-Homestead Speedway all four drivers held the top four positions on the race track.

Kevin Harvick ran in the Top 5 all day and led 54 laps, but it all came down to the final laps on Sunday with Harvick passing Denny Hamlin with seven laps left, then holding off Ryan Newman to win the race and the championship.  After finishing 3rd in the standings in three of the past four seasons Harvick finally won the title in his first year at Stewart-Haas Racing.

Newman was forced to settle for second place in the race and the standings.  Afterwards he said you have to lose a championship before you can win it, now he's ready to win one.

Denny Hamlin appeared to have the upper hand late in the race, but finished seventh and a third-place finish in the standings.

A pit mishap put Joey Logano a distant 16th.  His car slipped off the jack to kill any chance he had of winning.  When he returned to the track he was at the rear of the lead lap and had his hands full just to finish where he did.  Logano ends up fourth in the standings.

Sunday's race ended ESPN's seven year run as a TV partner.  Fox and NBC will split the TV rights beginning next year.
