KFC Building Explodes In North Carolina [WATCH]

It was a remarkable sight just after 12:30 am in Eden, North Carolina as a KFC restaurant exploded.

Thankfully, nobody was in the building at the time as the workers who closed had left prior to the explosion.

Workers did report smelling gas before leaving and the manager notified the gas company.

Other nearby stores were also damaged in the blast.

KFC released a statement about the incident.

“We are devastated by this incident, but most importantly we are grateful that all of our restaurant team members are safe and no one was injured. We would like to thank the Eden police and fire crews, for their response and continued support. We are cooperating directly with the investigating agencies as they work to determine the cause.”
