Kone King In West Seneca Opening In Less Than One Week
It's been a pretty brutal winter so far (especially February), but can you believe we're only a few days away from March?
I know, it's Buffalo, and March weather is a mixed bag. One day could be 30 degrees and snow. The next could be 50 degrees and sunshine. But March is when we start to see our favorite ice cream places opening in Western New York and one of the best will be opening very soon.
According to their website, Kone King in West Seneca will be reopening for the spring and summer season on Monday, March 1st! They're located on Center Road.
From cones to sundaes, to twisters, Kone King is a tradition for many West Seneca residents.
Speaking of ice cream places, multiple Dairy Queen locations have already opened for the season, including locations on Abbott Road in South Buffalo and Elmwood Avenue in Kenmore.
Looking at the extended forecast, you can see some very slow upgrades in the temperatures, including 40 degrees on Wednesday, so the ice cream season is on the horizon. The official start of spring is March 20th, so we're almost done with winter.
I can't wait for my first ice cream cone on a warm spring day. Bring on Kone King!
