Two Buffalo teens have been charged with murder. The shooting on Koons Avenue in Buffalo killed one person and injured another. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that two teens were arraigned in connection to the fatal shooting. A 15-year-old male was arraigned the morning of Tuesday, February 16, 2022, before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case. The other defendant, 19-year-old Vincent Manirakiza, was arraigned on Monday, February 14.

A 17-year-old girl died in the shooting and another teen was injured. The 15-year-old was arraigned on two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Burglary in the Second Degree, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. Manirakiza was arraigned on one count of Murder in the Second Degree.

The shooting took place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, just after 2:30 in the afternoon. They allegedly entered a home on Koons Avenue to commit a crime and allegedly shot the two victims. The 19-year-old male victim who survived was taken to Erie County Medical Center and has since been released.

Both suspects are due back in court on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 9:30 am. They are being held without bail.

Another teen was recently charged in a shooting. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that a teenage suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting and stabbing incidents at McKinley High School. A 17-year-old male was arraigned today, February 14, 2022, Youth Part Justice Kelly Brinkworth. The teen was charged with,

one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree (Class “B” violent felony)
one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony)
one count of Assault in the Second Degree (Class “D” felony).
