It's that time of the year. Where every day you know it could be there, you know it could show up, but it hasn't. Yet.

Ready or not, as Ned Stark was fond of saying, "Winter's Coming." Even though the weather forecasters can't tell you exactly when, we all know it's not a matter of IF, but rather WHEN we get snow. If all the cooler temperatures have you itching to hit the slopes...good news! Kissing Bridge and Holiday Valley have already started making the fluffy white stuff.

With the temperatures as cool as they've been, crews are trying to take full advantage while they can. They're hoping to get a good base on the slopes so they can open for the season.

According to Channel 4 WIVB, Holiday Valley in Ellicottville is looking to open things up on Black Friday (Nov. 23rd) if the conditions are right. Kissing Bridge in Glenwood is eyeing Nov 30th as their target.

If you're a powder hound, you may have to wait a little while longer, otherwise make sure you get your ski's waxed, get those edges sharpened and hope you don't yardsale your first time back out. No judgement if you do...that's my signature move!
