We have been highlighting restaurants in Western New York that start with certain letters of the alphabet. This one in Lockport was a clear favorite for the letter 'C.'

Sometimes it's tough to come up with ideas for places to go out to eat. That's why we came up with this method of planning out dates. We call it the alphabet challenge. We started with the letter 'A' and have been moving right through the alphabet, one restaurant at a time. When we did it, we started at "Anchor Bar" then went to a restaurant that started with the letter 'B' called "Bellini's."

I asked for your suggestions on Facebook of restaurants that start with the letter 'C' and one restaurant, in particular, stood out at the time that I was writing this article.

It was spelled a number of different ways, but the one that kept coming up in the comments was "Cammaratas Restaurant" in Lockport. According to their website, they offer "fine USDA choice steaks, prime rib, chicken, veal & pork, favorite Italian entreés, and a wide variety of seafood. It was easily the most popular which says something considering many Buffalo staples start with the letter 'C' like Chef's, Cole's and more.
