Brett Alan and I were a part of  Brides World at the convention center on Sunday. Who doesn't love a wedding? When I got married (now divorced) I remember the headaches of planning. Don't get me wrong, planning a party like a wedding is great. We had a large invite list and it was a fun night. The problem is the driving around and making appointments. I have to be completely honest, the fun for me was watching how excited my fiance was about all of it.Even though I want a very 'simple" wedding, when the day comes that I remarry, I would look for something like a Brides World. Everything is in one spot- on one day. From florists to honey moon planners it's all there.Still see the excitement on your fiances face but not spend every evening driving all over trying to track down and plan your big day.
Contrary to what some might think, I still believe in marriages that last. I grew up in a house with two people who were not only IN LOVE they were and to this day remain WHAT LOVE IS. My parents are both gone now. They raised 5 kids and showed me that it is possible to meet and marry and love your best friend. Your teammate in the game of life.I believe you should marry someone that is not JUST like you. Rather someone similar that fills those gaps that we all have in our personalities. My father was a brilliant educator and provider. My mother was a super wife, mother and cook!  Yes, my parents had some times when they clearly were not happy with each other. I don't remember those lasting more that 24hrs! I don't know how, but they talked it out or worked out whatever differences they had.
I could go on and on about how I admire what my parents had but, even I get bored with reading a long blog! My point is the idea is not only are you  "planning" a party, it is planning a special day that I hope is the start of loving relationship that will be as strong and ETERNAL as my parents had/have.Thanks to all of you that stopped by and said hello!
