Lunar Eclipse Expected Fourth Of July Weekend
You might have a different kind of show to watch over the Fourth of July Weekend.
With a lot of area towns not holding their fireworks shows, the night sky should be pretty clear to see a Lunar Eclipse.
According to Accuweather, we should be able to see the Lunar Eclipse Saturday night into Sunday morning.
On the night of Saturday, July 4, into the early hours of Sunday, July 5, the moon will graze Earth’s shadow to create a penumbral lunar eclipse.
The Eclipse will begin around 11:04 pm and last until 1:52 am Sunday morning. Accuweather says the best time to view the event will be around 12:30 am.
But that is not the only major space events happening in July. You will also have a chance to see Jupiter and Saturn reach their brightest in the middle of the month.
Plus at the end of the month, there is a double meteor shower expected. That should happen on July 28th and 29th.
Happy Viewing!
