The big weekend is almost here! Luke Combs is coming to Western New York for back to back shows at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

Over the two days, more than 100,000 fans will flock to the stadium to see the "Growin' Up And Gettin' Old" tour which will feature numerous additional acts inside and outside the stadium. Dress warm, colder air is moving in and the forecast is calling for temperatures to settle in around the 45 degree mark.

A show this large requires lots of planning and lots of work. Crews will spend the entire week getting ready for the show and we just found out what the first step is when it comes to getting the inside of the stadium ready.

We spoke with Marty from Suburban Property Maintenance this week. His company is responsible for some of the pre show build and cleaning up the parking lots and areas around the stadium after the show. Marty told us his crew is "setting up the flooring for covering the football field".

It is no small job as Marty went on to tell us that, "it's between 12 and fourteen semi loads of flooring that we build going down the tunnel, they cover all the tunnel. And then you build it like a Christmas tree going across the whole football field".

According to Marty, there are around 40 people who are getting the base layer ready for the stage and other production elements to be installed in the stadium."Once (the floor) is built, they can drive cranes on it and the iron workers can come in and build the stage".

This is going to be an exciting couple of days and WYRK will be on site throughout the weekend. We are now "WYR-LUKE"! See the SET TIMES HERE!
