Massive News For Sports Fans In Western New York State

There is some great news for sports fans in New York State. The newest professional basketball team is about to start their season. It has been a long time since we had a pro team here in Western New York and they will tip-off this Saturday in West Seneca.

Those who are old enough might remember the Buffalo Braves basketball team and all of the great games and players who hit the court at the old "Aud". Some of the legends in professional basketball played in Buffalo before the franchise left for the west coast.

But fast forward to 2023 and basketball is more popular than ever. The NBA is still the elite league. However, the news about pro basketball coming back has caught the attention of sports fans across the region.

Buffalo eXtreme will take on Rochester Kingz this weekend in the season opener.

XGEN Elite, WNY’s premier sports tournament and events organization, is proud to announce that they are bringing professional basketball back to the WNY area. XGEN has purchased the exclusive rights to bring an American Basketball Association (ABA) team to Buffalo, with an inaugural season slated for this November 2023. The team, dubbed “The Buffalo eXtreme”, will play as a member of the ABA’s Northeast Region.

We are blessed with professional sports here in Buffalo and Western New York. The Buffalo eXtreme starts Saturday and the Buffalo Bills play on Sunday Night Football this weekend. The Buffalo Sabres return home to take on the Philadelphia Flyers this weekend as well. Good luck to all three pro teams!
