There is going to be a lot of rain coming our way in New York State.

The snow in the forecast that was expected last week is no longer a threat. There is no snow in the forecast later this week. Rain is expected to be light on Thursday and Friday, but on Saturday some big rain storms are expected across New York State.

This is good news considering the wildfires that have erupted on the east side of New York State. The National Weather Service is actually warning residents about possibly evacuation. 160 homes were evacuated on Sunday just in case as firefighters have been trying to put out the fires. Hopefully, the rain will have a major impact on the fires and help residents and firefighters.

The voluntary evacuation allowed fire personnel to confront the Jennings Creek Wildfire uninterrupted overnight and will remain in place until Monday as those efforts continue, Jesse Dwyer, a supervisor in Warwick, New York, said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

“Efforts overnight by both local and regional firefighters to protect structures were successful and no structures are presently in danger,’’ Dwyer said.

Residents had been allowed to return home. In an early-evening announcement, Warwick officials said the Orange County state of emergency was extended", according to Yahoo.com.
