Megan and Steven Houseman of Gasport, NY Are This Week’s Hometown Heroes!
It’s time once again for this week’s Hometown Hero brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming and with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations each week. This week we have another husband/wife duo as our Hometown Heroes. It’s Megan and Steven Houseman of Gasport, NY.
Both Megan And her husband Steven are serving in the United States Air Force. Megan has been in for 13 years as a traditional reservist and a medic. She has been to Ramstein, Germany, Andrew Air Force Base, and Maryland in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She also recently joined the honor guard. Steve has been in for 17 years, he was originally a Traditional reservist but was activated after 9/11 as Security police and has been an active guard for 14 years. In 2012 he took over as The non-commissioned officer in charge of Combat Arms and runs the Small Arms range on Niagara Falls Air reserve station on a daily basis. His deployments include Italy, Spain, and Uzbekistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom Dec 2002-2003. They just celebrated 7 years of marriage and have 2 kids Hannah, 6 and Blake, 4.
We want to say thank you to both Megan and Steven this week for their service and name them this week’s Hometown Heroes!
