Dierks Bentley Returns To Headline For The 3rd Time At TOC 2023

As they say, this wasn't Dierks Bentley's first rodeo. He was back to headline the Taste of Country for the third time, and this time, we was flying there by himself.

In 2023, we went back to a good friend for our headliner and he gave us more than we had asked for. Our Taste of Country lineup looked like this:

Dan Minogue - TOC Riser Competition Winner

As you can see our Taste of Country Riser Dan Minogue was our opener, and then we brought in some big hitters. It was cool to see two duos on the bill. Of course Big & Rich brought some real energy to the show, and it was cool to see Brothers Osborne sing their song "Burning Man" with Dierks.

Dierks Bentley gave an encore that was worth staying for

Even though it was his third time (the most of any artist) headlining this show, Dierks didn't just give us the same old show. He had some new hits to add in there, and people were singing along to all of his favorites. But it was the encore that had people talking the next day.

Anyone who has seen Dierks Bentley live in the last couple of years knows that he would often start his show with a 90's cover band called "The Hot Country Knights." At first they didn't tell anyone that it was actually Dierks. Instead, they said that it was some guy named Douglas Douglason and the rest of his band playing 90's hits. They would just come out as fans were still filing in and play some songs. It was hilarious. But in Buffalo, he didn't have the option of coming out early. Instead, he made it his encore. The funny part was that a ton of people missed it. Because it took him a minute to get into his "Hot Country Knights" disguise, and he had already done all of his big hits, people thought it was over. So they took off, and missed one of the best parts of the show!
