Shaboozey's Memorable Set At Taste Of Country 2024

As we get ready to celebrate our 25th Anniversary Taste of Country in just a couple of days, we are looking back at some of the most memorable moments from shows of the past. In 2024, we had a memorable moment happen that none of us had ever seen before, haven't ever seen since then, and never saw coming.

Our lineup for 2024 didn't let us down, with Old Dominion and Jon Pardi, who could have easily been co-headliners and very strong opening acts.

Voyagr - Taste of Country Riser Winner

The weather was a factor that day, as a strong storm was coming through. There was lightning within 5 miles of the stadium, which delayed entry and sound check times. Because of the time crunch, we weren't able to get our Taste of Country Riser winner Voyagr on in their allotted time slot. We were happy that we were able to get them back on stage in 2025 instead.

Shaboozey made sure we knew every word to "A Bar Song"

While he had a full album of music, country newcomer Shaboozey had just one song on the radio at the time. It was a song called "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," and while we were sure we were going to hear it, we had no idea what he was about to do.

He had a short set, but he had enough time to showcase some new music along with his viral hit. Instead, he started right off with it. It felt a little weird that he didn't hold off on it, but then when he got to the end, he asked if everyone wanted to hear it again. The crowd cheered, so he did it again.

Then after playing it twice in a row, he asked if they wanted to hear it again. People thought he was joking, but at the same time, they cheered. So he did it again!

We thought he was done and was going to move on to something else, but no. One more time, he asked if they should do it again. This time made it the fourth time for him. Sure enough, he played that song four times in a row.

We had no idea that this was his plan. He just went for it and kept on doing it. It's something that people still bring up years later. We've never seen anything like that before, and we will probably never see it again.
