Michael Vick and Other Former NFL Players In WNY This Weekend

When you were a kid and grew up watching pro sports, chances are you got the chance to go to an autograph signing. It could have been at some expo or simply at the local TOPS or Wegmans.

I remember getting Marty Biron's signature and photo at Wegmans when I was a kid and that kind of stuff sticks with you.

If you grew up on '90s and 2000s NFL, then there's something happening in Batavia this week that might interest you, especially if you're  Buffalo Bills fan.

The Legends and Stars Batavia Sports Expo is taking place at Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel, this Saturday and Sunday.

The event will go from 10 am to 4 pm both days, and feature many former Bills players and other professional athletes signing autographs and posing for photos.

Former Bills include:

• Lee Evans
• Doug Flutie
• Williams McGahee
• Fred Jackson
• James Lofton
• Pete Metzelaars
• Roscoe Parrish
• Billy Shaw
• Steve Tasker
• Thurman Thomas

Former executive Bill Polian will also be on hand, along with current Bills, Tyler Bass, Harrison Phillips, Gabriel Davis and Isaiah McKenzie.

That's not all though.

Former NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick will be there on Sunday, along with former NFL'ers, Jason Taylor, Everson Walls, Chad Johnson, Hines Ward and Greg Lloyd.

I love the fact players like Lee Evans, Willis McGahee and Roscoe Parrish will be there. The "drought" Bills teams often get overlooked and it's nice to see them back in town for fans.

If you want to see Michael Vick and Hines Ward, this is probably as good a chance as any.
