We are bringing Miranda Lambert to the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino on Saturday and I had the honor of talking with her before the big show.

I mean…she has a TON going on.  She’s got a new bar/restaurant in Nashville, a new album on shelves, and a huge single on the charts.  Plus she’s working on even more stuff.  I got to talk to her about all of it today.

Who Called Who?

As you know, her new hit “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” is a collaboration between Miranda and her good friend Elle King.  But how did it come about?  Who called who to get the ball rolling on that single?  Miranda says it was Elle that called her.

She’s Nominated For Entertainer of the Year (And multiple others)

Her new song “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” is up for “Musical Event of the Year.”  She’s nominated for “Female Vocalist of the Year” and is one of just two ladies (with Carrie Underwood) to be nominated for “Entertainer of the Year.”  So what does that mean to her?

What Is Her Favorite CMA Memory?

Miranda’s 3 nominations this year bring her to a total of 58 total nominations over the years.  That’s the third most only behind George Strait and Alan Jackson.  She’s had a lot of them…but what would she say is her favorite CMA Memory?

Does She Ever Explore The Cities That She’s Visiting?

When artists come to town sometimes it’s a touch & go experience for them.  They’re in and out.  But Miranda says that she’s been making an effort to actually check out some of the sites in the cities that she’s touring in.

So What Will She Try When She Gets Here

There is so much to do in Niagara Falls and Miranda has been here a lot over the years.  So what is left for her that she hasn’t tried yet?

How Did The Pandemic Affect Her Writing

Some artists really struggled with writing during the pandemic because they weren’t out living life.  But others really flourished.  So how did Miranda do?

When Will The Next Album Be Coming?

She said she got a lot of writing done.  She released a new album in the spring called The Marfa Tapes along with Jon Randal and Jack Ingram.  Then almost immediately she said that her next studio album would be “not far away.”  So what are we talking here…fall?  Winter?  Next Summer?

Come see Miranda this Saturday at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.  Tickets are still available by clicking here!  Hope to see you there!
