Monroe County Issues Warning To Hospital Visitors
The flu season is well underway and it seems to have hit a few areas of New York much harder than others. As has been reported many times this year, the flu shot seems to be barley effective against the strain of flu that is being passed around.
Monroe County health officials have issued a warning to those that intend to visit a hospital...don't!
According to MetroSource News: The latest numbers show that the Finger Lakes Region and Central New York have some of the highest flu rates in the state. The county health commissioner is warning folks who think they might have the flu to take precautions to try to not infect others.
For those that regularly get a flu shot, the CDC is saying to still get the shot as a precaution and to prevent the possibility of getting other flu strains than the one that has gripped much of the nation this season.
