What an unbelievable rare sighting people got to see a moose that was swimming in a lake in New York State. A man got footage of a bull moose with a huge rack swimming in New York State.

There are not too many moose that live in New York State. There are just about 600 that live in the wild in New York State. Just this past summer, moose in New York State were highlighted because of a very rare situation that happened on one of the hiking trails in the Adirondack mountains. One moose ended up being sick and was blocking one of the popular hiking trails for months. The moose would not move so officials and vets went in to monitor the moose. They set up trail cameras and monitored the moose for a long time and the footage confirmed that the moose was very sick. It became very frail and did not even respond to humans who wanted to get close to it. The New York State DEC made the executive decision that it was time to euthanize the animal.

Now, the moose in New York State are getting highlighted again after one man got some very rare footage of a moose that was taking a swim in Elm Lake, which is located in Speculator, a town in Hamilton County. You can see the moose get out of the water and really see the beautiful rack that he has. You CANNOT hunt moose in New York State--there is no moose hunting season.
