The Country Music Association is way more than just the award show that you see on television every Fall -- much more.

If you've ever been to Nashville you know that there is no nicer city in the country. The musicians, the writers, the dreamers are all down there to make it. One of those people who have made it is Liz Rose, a hit song writer who has penned tons of tunes including 'Girl Crush' for Little Big Town and 'Love Story' with Taylor Swift.

Rose is one of the "Music City musicians are partnering with a nonprofit that is providing music education in New York City schools to help boost it as a core subject."

According  to Yahoo:

The students at Pelham Gardens Middle School in the Bronx are among 500 students in 15 schools around the city to participate; they receive 10 lessons on how to write lyrics, and one class in each school has a videoconference session with a musician in Nashville."

Students in the Bronx learned how to write a song with Grammy-winning Nashville songwriter Liz Rose, thanks to a music education program funded by the Country Music Association Foundation.
