Navy Reserves Builder First Class Michael Hoffman Is This Week’s Hometown Hero!

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week. This Week’s Hometown Hero is orignally from Wheatfield, NY.  It's United States Navy Reserves Builder Michael Hoffman!

His nomination says:

BU1 Hoffman, Michael from Niagara Wheatfield New York Joined the Navy Reserves in September 2003 as a Builder (BU) in NMCB-21. Am now with CORIVRON 8 since June 2015.  Deployed to Kuwait in 2006 (8.5 months), Afghanistan 2010 (10.5 months), and Afghanistan 2014 (11 months). His sister Technical Sergeant Cathleen Kania is now deployed to Kuwait with the United States Airforce. Awards to include, but not limited to, Joint Service Achievement Medal x1, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal x2, Army Achievement Medal x1, Navy and Marine Corps Presidential Unit Citation x1, Army Meritorious Unit Citation x1, and Army Valorious Unit Citation x1.

We want to say thank you to him for his service as well. This week, we are proud to call Michael Hoffman our Hometown Hero of the week.
