Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday!!! If you’re anything like me you’re preparing to have people over today or you are getting ready to go somewhere to watch the game. 

 I may not know everything about football but I get excited more about the commercials!  Today I’ve already planned my strategy for what snacks I’m going to eat where I’ll be sitting to watch the commercials and so on!  Since today has already been booked you should probably start thinking ahead to next weekend on all the fun you’ll be having!

I can’t believe it’s already February!  For those of us hopeless romantics that like to celebrate Valentine’s day what a better way to celebrate with wine!  Next weekend the Niagara Wine Trail they are pulling out all the stops for Valentine’s Day!  Spend the weekend at the Niagara Wine Trail’s event Be Mine with Wine.  The event starts Friday Feb. 8^th and runs until Sun. Feb. 10^th.  Spend the weekend with your sweetheart sampling wine paired with chocolates from a local chocolatier!  Yeah it really doesn’t get any better than that!  Wine and Chocolate for a whole weekend all for Valentine’s Day!  The best part about this event is when you buy tickets they are good for the whole weekend! You can make it a whole weekend long celebration!  Guys you are going to get some serious brownie points from your girl when they think you played this whole weekend for Valentine’s Day! At each winery you are going to get a tasting of 3 wines and a chocolate sample.  You will also receive a commemorative wine glass from your starting winery.   It’s all happening next weekend on the Niagara Wine Trail it’s their Be Mine with Wine event.

Another fantastic event I think you should definitely check out this weekend is happening in East Aurora. Living in East Aurora my whole life I can say this with pride – We have the World’s Largest Fish Fry or we are least trying too!  Happening Friday from 3:30 to 7p the East Aurora Kiwanis Club and BW BBQ are partnering up to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the most fish dinners served at one location!  Last year they came so close so this year they are pulling out all the stops and hoping to break the record this year!  The World’s Largest Fish Fry is being held at the East Aurora Parkdale School located on Girard Avenue.  There will even be Take out and curbside pickup that night for the Fish Fry!  Don’t miss the World’s Largest Fish Fry Friday in East Aurora!

Finally if the cold has you still hibernating indoors then you can always stay indoors and check out the production of Deadly Nightcap at the Lancaster Opera House.  The show runs Friday Feb. 8^th to Thurs Feb 14^th.  This one sounds like a fantastic production too!  Hold onto your seats for this British thriller!  When a callous husband brings his wife to the cusp of a nervous breakdown, he sets up the perfect scenario for her tragic ‘suicide’ or so it may appear at first!  Sounds like the perfect Valentine’s Day Date night to me!  They have shows every night from the 8^th to the 14^th.  It’s the production of Deadly Nightcap at the Lancaster Opera House.
