Should The New Highmark Stadium Have More Color?
The New Highmark Stadium isn't even complete yet, and some fans are already looking at how they can change it.
The Buffalo Bills are getting ready to move across the street this year. They'll be setting up in the New Highmark Stadium to start the 2026 season, and although it's not even complete yet, some fans are thinking it could use some changes.
Does the New Highmark Stadium need color?
It's one thing when you see it in renderings. It's another when you see it in person. Now that it's almost complete, a lot more people are taking the extra couple of minutes to drive over and check it out. One fan, in particular, pointed out that they thought it really needed some more color on its exterior.
The complaint is that with the building being gray/silver and the fact that it's so gray in Buffalo in the winter, it doesn't really stand out from the sky. It's just there.
So they're suggesting they add some color to it to make it look a little more like the Bills and to make it really stand out.
Would exterior lights work better than paint?
If they're going to do that, I like this idea instead:
Think of how the grain elevators look at night when you're driving over the skyway or Route 5, and how those lights even make those old buildings look cool. Plus, it would probably be easier to change out the lights than it would be to paint the exterior of that building.
Do you think it needs color?
What do you think? I think it looks just fine the way it is, and we don't know what it's going to look like once they light it up for a home game. There's still work to be done.
