Fresh Look For New York State Under 21 Licenses

A lot of underage people have them. But fake IDs are going to be harder to get passed off as official as New York starts to roll out the new license at the end of this year.

Next time that you go to apply or renew your license, it's going to look and feel a little different whether you're above or below 21. But, if you're under 21, your license is going to look and feel different AND it's going to be vertical.

More and more people are looking for government-issue ID's that are done with some kind of standardization. If it's going to be any good, it's got to be tamper-proof. Anyone under 21-years-old will receive a vertical license, with a feature that's intended to make it more difficult to "chalk", according to Erie County Sheriffs.
